This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that Pearson may collect or process for individuals seeking to participate in committee reviews ("Committee Reviews") related to the development of Pearson educator licensure assessment materials.
Purpose of Collecting Personal Information. Pearson collects personal information about those applying to be involved in Committee Reviews (a) to enable the State to evaluate the applicant’s qualifications for serving on a committee for the Committee Reviews, (b) to communicate with applicants about the Committee Reviews on behalf of the State, and (c) to otherwise communicate with applicants related to the National Evaluation Series. Providing personal information is voluntary but necessary if the applicant wishes to apply for and participate in Committee Reviews. Pearson may use the information you provide to contact you related to your application, or with regard to other opportunities for participation in other committee review activities or testing related studies or activities. Personal Information Collected. The personal data that Pearson collects or receives in connection with applications for Committee Reviews may include name, address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number, language, date of birth, professional affiliations, employment information, previous examination history, and educational information, including educational institutions attended. Applicants selected to participate in Committee Reviews may also be requested to sign a Consulting Agreement and to provide their social security numbers.
Protection of Personal Information. Pearson uses reasonable precautions to protect personal information from unauthorized use, access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These precautions include appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures.
Disclosure of Names and Credentials. Participants in Committee Reviews may be identified by name and professional credentials by Pearson in materials and communications about the educator licensure assessments materials that are the subject of the Committee Reviews. By applying for Committee Reviews participation, you consent to such disclosure and publication of your name and professional credentials, including your professional qualifications and professional affiliations, employment information and educational information, including education institutions attended.
Other Disclosure or Transfer of Information. We may disclose personally identifiable information (a) in response to a subpoena, court order, or legal process, to the extent permitted or required by law; (b) to maintain test and Committee Reviews security and integrity, to address violations of law, and/or to protect your security or the security of other persons, consistent with applicable law; (c) in connection with a sale, joint venture, or other transfer of some or all of the assets of Pearson; (d) to organizations who are working as contractors or agents of Pearson and who are committed or obliged to protect your privacy in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. By applying to participate in Committee Reviews you give your consent for your personal information to be transmitted in the situations outlined above. This website does not participate in any "Do Not Track" frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your personal information.
